Sometime after all four engines are firing, and the ACS system has been remounted. Of course, we’re going to do a lot of flights under a tether first, and that’s a kind of restraint. I don’t expect us to do too many untethered hops before we’ve put at least 10-15 tethered flights under our belts.
As an aside, it is interesting to note that we’ve put about 10 minutes worth of firing on one of our engines just over the past week and a half. By the time we have this thing flying off of a tether, most of the engines will probably have over 15-30 minutes worth of firing on them.
Glad you found us. We love what we do, and we're happy to share some of the latest with you! Feel free to join the discussion by leaving comments, and stay updated by subscribing to the RSS feed.
